Lambert’s work captures the essence and atmosphere of the Wineries in her paintings.
Her recent works of the British Columbia Wineries are reminiscent of "old world" paintings of the Tuscan, Italy countryside. When one views these works of art, it is impossible not to feel a part of the landscape... Just imagine, lunch by a winery….fruit, cheese, perhaps a baguette and a bottle of wine to enjoy with someone special... "Wine and Art are the most natural of companions," says Louise..."I am very fortunate to live amongst all of this beauty, and I try to share the joy that my surroundings give me, in my paintings".
Louise's paintings of the wineries both local and abroad capture the true essence of the trade. This collection borrows the richness of Rembrandts palate to the crisp and contrasting colours of the Okanagan. Travels to California and the Tuscany region influence the painter. Motifs from cypress trees; winding roads and Tuscan sun make their presence in these winery paintings and people. Louise's training in the Coppini Academy of Fine Arts further enhanced her prominent ambiance of light and warmth.
